Sixth Photo Meme
Recently I have been tagged by Casey McKinnon in the “Sixth Photo Meme” project.
What is the Sixth Photo Meme project?
It is a fun interactive way to show people a random picture in your Flickr account and explain the story behind the photo. “The idea is 666-fold: go to the 6th page of your Flickr photostream; find the 6th photo on the screen; post the photo on your blog and tag 6 of your friends to do the same.” (From Casey McKinnon). If you don’t have 6 pages of photos just pick the 6th photo on your photostream.
Casey tagged me from her post & Veronica Belmont tagged Casey.
The story: This picture was just recently added to my Flickr account, but the photo was taken about 5 years ago at a friends wedding on July 4 at Meson Sabika in Naperville, IL. The picture is just a funny picture of my friends attempting to look ‘pimp’ by the bar. In the picture are fellow Eastern Illinois University (EIU) swimmers that I swam with when I was in college. We all were at the wedding because some other mutual friends of the EIU swim team got married. Probably one of the most fun I have ever had at a wedding that ended with Fireworks and White Castle burgers.
The friends that I am tagging are friends that have a Flickr account and will carry on this Sixth Photo Meme are: Maurice Cheeks, Mary-Lynn Foster, Leah Goldberg, Megan Asha, Leah Jones, & Wendy Piersall. With special guest: Daniel McVicar To anyone else: Sorry, if I didn’t include you.
Western Wall Schmult Love
Just a few days ago one of my online friends, Leah Jones, was traveling in Israel. She took the time out of her busy day to write a note for me & post it on the Western Wall. Above is the picture of the note.
This is very touching and I really appreciate it Leah!! Thank you so much and for your support!!
A little background on Leah; She is a blogger up in Chicago and she works for Edelman digital. She has some interesting opinions and she is very active in the techie/blogger/marketing community.
If you can remember, Edelman is the PR/Marketing firm that caught eye of my Axe/Tag Video way back in the day. See here. When I won a trip to Las Vegas, Edelman sent me a Axe care package. Ever since then I have been interested in Edelman and their work. Something they don’t know, I have been a return customer of the “Snake Peel” Axe shower gel.
