Bailey email #2

Dear Mr. Schmult,

I have received some comments on your blog based on my last email. Plus I have seen you have added my picture to your flickr account and the views are increasing daily. You’re welcome.

It seems that I’m am starting to develop my own fan base on your website as well. Great to know. Plus, it’s nice to meet new people here on schmult.com. I’m glad to be part of the plus sized model babies for your website.

As a matter of fact, I have some new pictures for you. The photo shoot was taken place on the beautiful beaches of San Diego. We randomly picked 3 other people to be represented in the pictures. However, I believe they did a good job and I would recommend them for representing you as well.

Western Wall Schmult Love

Western wall message

Just a few days ago one of my online friends, Leah Jones, was traveling in Israel. She took the time out of her busy day to write a note for me & post it on the Western Wall. Above is the picture of the note.

This is very touching and I really appreciate it Leah!! Thank you so much and for your support!!
A little background on Leah; She is a blogger up in Chicago and she works for Edelman digital. She has some interesting opinions and she is very active in the techie/blogger/marketing community.

If you can remember, Edelman is the PR/Marketing firm that caught eye of my Axe/Tag Video way back in the day. See here. When I won a trip to Las Vegas, Edelman sent me a Axe care package. Ever since then I have been interested in Edelman and their work. Something they don’t know, I have been a return customer of the “Snake Peel” Axe shower gel.

The best email so far

Dear Mr. Schmult,

Good afternoon, my name is Bailey. I am a big fan of your work. I believe you know my parents, Nic and Jolene. I am writing in regards to your website’s appeal for t-shirt models. I saw you already have filled a position in the “baby model” category (very charming), but I noticed you have no representation in the “baby plus-size category”.

I believe I would be a perfect fit for the position; I have extensive experience in plus-size modeling. You may of seen some of my work in commercials (Michelin Tires, Pillsbury Dough), and even a very popular movie from the 80’s (Ghostbusters: Stay Puft Marshmellow Man). I know what it takes to get that perfect shot, and I look really good in pink.

I have included some recent head shots to give you an idea of my style of work. The first one is entitled, “This coffee would be a lot better with a penguin cookie
Bailey Coffee

and the second is entitled, “Yo fool, check out Schmult.com or I pop a cap in your pampers!“.
Bailey Yo fool

I hope you enjoy them, and there are much more where these came from. I look forward to working with you.

Your Plumpest Fan,
Bailey

I may have another online friend that may do some very amazing for me next week. Hopefully there will be pictures that I can share with you. Plus it looks like I will have at least 2 more pics of some fans with t shirts!!!

Short update. May 30, 2008. I got my staples removed. I don’t know how many there were, but more than 30. Now, I’m just held together with glue & tape, but it will dissolve off soon.

News Gazette Newspaper Article 5/25/08

Cover of the Living SectionLast page

Just this memorial day weekend I was in a article for my local newspaper. It was written by Brittany Abeijon. She is a student at the University of Illinois in Journalism. She did a semester long project of an article (about me) for her journalism class. She did a great job of writing it and her professor agreed. Also, the professor has helped to spread the word about her paper, which lead me to have an article in the News Gazette. So far I have received a lot of great comments and inspiration from other people. I hope to keep in contact with them.  Just check out my most recent comments for their responses.

Well I warn you before you read this story. Keep you Kleenex close by, however I’m not sponsored by Kleenex. LOL. However, I do approve of the comments and statements in the article.  The article can be found at this link http://www.news-gazette.com/news/local/2008/05/25/champaign_mans_cancer_battle_a_picture_of_positive_thinking

Or you can just read it below.

On the cold, gray tile floor in the middle of the hallway in Carle Clinic, Nick Schmidt lay on his left side with his back curved, his legs drawn up toward his stomach and his head bowed. Doctors wheeled patients in hospital beds past him. He couldn’t sit up in the waiting room chairs. It was the only way he could stand the pain.

“Are you OK?” asked a nurse with a confused look on her face.

“I’m fine, just don’t touch me,” Nick moaned.

To touch him would hurt, to move him would hurt. He was still irritated that he had been ripped away from his Thanksgiving vacation in San Diego because of stomach pangs and waves of nausea that appeared out of nowhere. He didn’t understand; he’d never been sick before.
