Cancer. Faith, Success, Recovery (FSR).
I have been away from my online antics for some time now, but that is about to change.
I recently have been diagnosed with Desmoplastic small cell tumor malignant cancer. First off, don’t do any research online, you are just going to freak yourself out (trust me).
When I was on a trip to San Diego, I started to have abdominal pain. I came home and found out I have multiple tumors in my body. When the doctor told about the tumors, I saw my life flash before my eyes. I saw hundreds of pictures flash through my head. The pictures were of friends, family, happy times, swimming, sun and all things that make me happy. Also, I saw and thought of things in my future. Things I need to do and want to do, so I can be happy. It’s funny how this makes you think totally different than before, but you have a bigger inter-motivation than ever.
Back to the tumors. The tumors are in my abdominal region and range in size from very small to the size of a grapefruit. Actually about two of them are grapefruit size. The funny thing is that I went through tons of tests and came back normal, negative. So, I’m completely healthy!!! I just have a couple masses living inside me.
The biopsy of my tumors was sent to the Mayo clinic, where they diagnosed the tumors. Next step was to find the right doctor. I had a friend whose sister met one of Lance Armstrong’s doctors and Lance’s wedding. So I contacted the doctor and he directed to me to a specialist in my type of cancer. The type of cancer is a sarcoma, which is a soft tissue tumor. They directed me to Indiana University.
My treatment will be six sessions of chemo at Indianapolis. Each type of treatment is alternated. Treatment A is a one day outpatient session. Treatment B is an inpatient treatment in a hospital for 5 days. There is usually about 10-14 days break between each treatment. Therefore the chemo will be about 3 months.
I’m going to survive this and get on with my life with the goals I want to accomplish. So I’m going to start a category of my recovery on my Web site. You can access the category on the right hand sidebar. It will be labeled as F.S.R. – an acronym for Faith. Success. Recovery. All three of these words are beneficial for me to get over this milestone in my life. Faith comes from God, friends and family. Success happens after the faith from God, friends and family. Recovery is a mixture of Faith and Success and the process of me adapting to my present and future successful life after cancer.
So from now on, you will see constant updates of my F.S.R. here on my blog. The updates can be a variety of things like: motivational quotes, inspirational quotes, videos, pictures, blog posts and more. Viewer digression is advised, which has a new RSS feed. The RSS feed icon is at the top right of my website too. But if you need a link here you go: http://feeds.feedburner.com/schmult.

Hats of to you mate! I cannot tell you how proud I am of you getting out there.
I believe to some degree it’s absolutely necessary, and I challenge you to, as much as you step out into the online world, to step into yourself as fully as you can in any way possible. Follow your instincts to express and to keep to yourself.
The pulsation between the radical community and the radical Self (you the Heart of the Lion, the Powerful) must dance fully so that both you and all of us can fully benefit from Faith, Success and Recovery.
Many blessings to you mighty one!
